Back in March we were promised a finished version of Grimm for July 1st. Well, looks like we'll have it! According to the author, Bloodrayne, it runs about five hours for complete the whole game, doesn't run on Doom 3 BFG (only Doom 3 1.3.1), currently Windows only (Mac and Linux on the way) and the full source code will be released.
This is the last update of the FREE Grimm game, after this it's all stand alone/commercial title. So consider this the shrareware part of the game. Head to Doom3World.org to read all the details.

Brutal Doom has a new feature for itself (it's been in FPS's since at least Quake 2): near death attacks! Now, when the zombie man does his “I'm dying” animation, there's a 300% chance he'll fire some shots at you. Cool, eh? Who needs one of those expensive 3D headsets when someone coded a copy of Quake 2 to be stereo 3D on their smart phone! Stefan Welker made Q2 support stereo images, rigged up a headset and controller, then was able to play Quake 2 in 3D Neat!

It's not the kind of SP experience we've been given so far in EntityPlus. This map is more of a “defend against the waves” type of map where you fight against bots. When your five lives are gone, so are you!
Pack 171 of the Quake Speedmaps are out. The three maps are by Cocerello, Digs and Scampie. Cocerello's map requires the Quoth free expansion pack. You can download the map packs here and comment over at Func_Msgboard. Sorry, no screens for this one!
Doom 3 modder 7318 has put up code that starts to implement vehicles in the D3 GPL code base. He's added new sound effects, added a subclass for cars so you can use the base class for other stuff, put vehicle cvar's in to the .def file, added a horn, handbrake and working on headlights at the moment. For all the details check out his Doom3World.org thread and you can get the code over at github.com.
While they're working on the engine and features they posted two new screenshots of progress.
