Sorry I didn't post this yesterday. I was replacing my video card. Today I went Christmas shopping for the kids.

So... anyway... on the 6th day of Quake, Quaddicted gave up Scampie's favorite ten Quake Deathmatch levels. On the 7th day we had a technical clitch, so we're presented with Quake Shareware and DM... from your browser! Yes, that's right, play in your browser, no installs required!

Explaining Velocity in Quake C

The not-so-famous-yet-tutorial-making numbersix has posted another tutorial over at, this time on how to use the velocity variable for Quake C. Quake C is the custom Quake language for making Quake mod. If you're new and interested in Quake modding then check out his tutorials. It's always great when members of the community post their knowledge for others to learn from.

John Carmack Left id Software, officially

Well, it was theorized he was leaving id months ago, but now it appears true. IGN quotes Tim Willits as saying John's leaving won't effect any current projects as his work was done on all of them. He's been with id since the beginning so all I can say is best wishes!
